Novameta’s breakthrough: modernization boosted not only efficiency but also sales

Modernization improved processes and products

One of the key reasons behind Novameta’s leadership is significant investment in modernization and digitalization. For this, Novameta received the “Industry 4.0” award as Lithuania’s most digitally advanced large enterprise.

“We have implemented several projects together with the Innovation Agency. One of the most important was the ‘Industrial Digitalization LT’ project, aimed at improving digital processes. We digitalized many areas, such as the DriveWorks system, automated bending, and more,” says Novameta CEO Mindaugas Jonuškis.

The implemented project and financial support helped the company improve key performance indicators by increasing efficiency, transparency, flexibility, and speed. According to Jonuškis, after implementing modern systems, digitalizing processes, and installing advanced machinery, foreign clients began to view the company very differently.

“When they visit and see our equipment, process management, and order planning, they are truly impressed. A modern factory and modern systems allow us to export our products much more easily,” says Jonuškis.

Higher-quality products at the same price

Support from the Innovation Agency enabled Novameta to compete successfully in Western Europe. The company currently exports its products to Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

“The total project value was €670,000. Warehouse management has been fully digitalized – QR codes everywhere, scanners, computer-planned loading. We know exactly where each pallet should go and whether all ordered products have been loaded.

This warehouse management system helps us avoid loading errors, order exactly the required amount of transport, and schedule transport at the precise time. We can now plan efficiently, manufacture, load, and deliver products on time,” says the company’s CEO.

Jonuškis adds that design systems were also digitalized, allowing products to be designed much faster and without errors. Automated bending was digitalized as well, enabling more efficient, precise, and higher-quality work. As a result, customers benefit too – receiving higher quality at the same price.
